Joe Biden told the American people Friday to continue wearing masks even after they’re vaccinated.

While visiting the Pfizer manufacturing plant in Michigan with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Biden, who was double-masked, urged that the American continue to wear masks even if they receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

“Before you get the shot, and after, if you get the shots, and after, social distancing saves lives, wearing masks saves lives,” Biden said. “Making sure that you wash your hands with hot water, saves lives.”

“This is not hyperbole, this is not a political statement, this is a reality, the science has demonstrated that,” he said, without explaining how wearing masks after being vaccinated makes sense.

Biden insisted that the vaccines pose no risks and urged the American people to “listen to Dr. Fauci.”

“The vaccines are safe,” Biden said. “Please, for yourself, your family, your community, this country, take the vaccine when it’s your turn and available.”

“Listen to Dr. Fauci. Dr. Facui assured me that the COVID-19 vaccines were safe,” he added.

Biden also stressed that he’s working to make sure the entire world is vaccinated, not just Americans.

“It’s not enough that we find cures for Americans,” he said. “There needs to be cures that the world is able to take part in because you can’t build a wall or a fence high enough to keep a pandemic out.”

The masks are never coming off, and if you don’t like it, then you must hate science.
